Today's i will present how to create a fairy Christmas night in Photoshop Make this tutorial we use Photoshop method and beautiful background. so let's have a try...
- Used Images:
- Help files - Christmas tree Calendar(.png*), curled paper. Christmas tree, icicles, wallpaper pattern, nail.
- Snowflakes
- Ribbon
- Winter forest
- Original wallpaper
- Font
- Old Paper texture
- Create a new document in Photoshop - 1280 *1024px, 72 px/inch.
- Fill background Layer with color #2b070e.
- Create a new layer, fill it with wallpaper pattern.
- In order to remove white background, choose Select > Color Range >Fussiness(100%), click white background with Eyedropper Tool > Ok.
- Delete selected area.
- Apply following layer style effects to created layer:
- Duplicate "pattern" layer, Set Fill = 0%, apply Gradient Overlay effect.
Insert Old paper texture, move it in the central bottom part of the image.
- Make ripped edges using small round Eraser Tool.
- Apply following effects:
- You will get something like this:
- Insert Calendar image.
- In Order to create shadow effect, create rectangle selection, fill it with black color in a new layer below calendar. Apply Multiply Blending Mode, Opacity 30% and Gaussian Blur filter(around 2%) Filter > Blur > Gaussian blur.
- Insert nail image.
- Create a new layer above "Calendar" layer.
- Fill it with white color.
- Go to Filter > Distort > Lens Correction > Vignette: Amount - 46, Midpoint +35.
- Apply Multiply Blending Mode and Opacity 75%.
- Insert winter forest image.
- Apply transformation, move bottom edge little bit right using Skew Transformation
- Correct image shape using Warp transformation.
- In order to remove superfluous corner area, create selection using Polygonal Lasso.
- Erase the corner from forest image.
- Correct bottom edge of the forest image with soft round Eraser Tool.
- Make forest layer darker.
- Add Gradient Overlay effect:
- Set levels like on the screen shot below:
- Insert Christmas tree image.
- Create large light spot below christmas tree image. Apply Overlay effect to it.
- In order to create large spot use large soft brush with following settings:
- The brush should have size like this:
- Above tree, draw smaller light spots, apply Soft Light Blending Mode to them.
- To make shadow, create the same shape but black color snowflake in the bottom layer.
- Transform shadow layer using Skew Transformation.
- Blur bottom part of the shadow using Blur Tool(Strength = 100%).
- Create others snowflake using the same actions.
- Create shiny, glitter effect with brushes from Assorted set.
